In our maritime and port law practice we have represented national and international shipping companies (including PEMEX and international oil companies)
The firm has also been involved in the acquisition and sale of second-hand ships (specialized, platforms and naval devices), new ships, shipyard slots, as well as in matters related to financing for the acquisition and construction of ships, registration of maritime guarantees, shipbuilding contracts, and charter contracts in different modalities.
We have participated in transactions related to different types of vessels including oil platforms, tugs, FSO’s, PSV’s, OSV’s, VSP’s, tankers, barges, tankers, patrol vessels, multipurpose vessels, towing platforms, transport vessels and specialized cargo vessels, among others.
We constantly advise shipping companies and port concessionaires (holders of partial assignment of API rights) on issues related to maritime and port authorities, the Mexican merchant navy, matters related to the Mexican Chamber of Shipping; as well as in relation to the recovery of insurance coverage for catastrophes and sinkings.
